Lord Of The Rings.

Hi.

I am confessing this to you and as a blogger and hopefully a fellow nerd but i LOVE Lord Of The Rings, so much so i watch the trilogy at least once a month and i can most likely recite the entire 'fellowship of the ring' line by line. I am currently reading through the books for the third time and each time it gets better.

The thing i LOVE about LOTR is that you feel so involved and you really root for frodo the entire way through and i find myself getting so involved each time. My heart bleeds every time Frodo says 'Go Home Sam' and chills pour down my spine everytime i hear Thoedon say 'So it begins.' (shivers).  To tell you the truth i feel as though every character can relate to everyone even Gollum, i mean he has a childlike entity inside him who is playful and fun and you cannot hate that side of him, you just can't! I hated voldemort because he was just evil through and through with the whole horcrux thing and dark magic but gollum was just at war with himself!

Blog Done. Just needed to inform you of my love for my favourite all time film

May Favourites

I'm aware we are well into June but i completely forgot about publishing this blog, sometimes i'm too blonde for my own sanity. This is just a few of my favourites from May some I have used frequently and some i only just tried out recently.

The first product i tried and loved was this face mask from Lush (www.lush.co.uk) and i found this product brilliant to use. It is just an average face mask in a little tub so unlike a lot of the ones you can purchase from boots etc in little packages this can see you through for a while. The one i chose to pick up was "brazened Honey" for no particular reason just that it has a more exfoliating texture than some of the others, some are designed for dry or oily skin but this one was just directed more towards what i needed. You leave it on for 10 minutes then wipe it off and i can 100% say my skin felt softer and more refreshed.
These are stored in the fridge as well so when you do apply it to your skin it has such a relaxing feel about it and the smell is incredible. I will be purchasing more of these without a doubt. The price at £5.95 is exceptional considering you get a good amount of usage from these, i have used mine about 6 times and i haven't hit the bottom of the tub yet.

The next product i am loving is a pretty old product. I wasn't actually aware this brand had made a product for females until i was on a night out and a girl recommended this to me in the middle of a club. It's 'Lynx For Her'. You can buy this product pretty much everywhere, i purchased mine from my local boots, but i believe they do them at any drugstore or superstore so they are pretty easy to get hold of.
At first i must admit i was a bit apprehensive of this product simply because it has been made by a well known male company for as long as i can remember so i guess i sort of assumed the smell would be less feminine because of this. I was wrong! The smell is lovely and as someone who always carries around a body spray and deodorant in my bag this 2 in 1 product fit the bill perfectly. The pink and white packaging is also very girly and cute too.
I bought a 150ml can at £2.99 about a month back and i'm coming to the last of it.I was very concerned about the fact it is a limited edition so i stocked up but i have been told it's been out since last summer so i'm not sure about that but it's worth buying a few cans in my opinion.

The third thing on my favourites list is 'MUA' Pallets. The white palette below is called 'undress me too' and the black palette called 'undressed'. MUA have amazing palette in amazing shades but i find these 2 palettes to be the most neutral and that's the kind of eye i prefer to go for. If you prefer an 'out there' eye shadow then they have palettes for that as well so don't think this is the only colourings they do.
These shadows go on like a dream and they all perfectly blend in together and i can guarantee you can create a new look every single time with these. Personally i prefer the 'undress me too' palette simply because some of the colours in there are more matte and the black matte in there is perfect for across the lash line as a substitute for eyeliner and a better look for a smoky eye rather than a block line.
I think you can only get these online at the MUA website or in Superdrug. The main problem i have with these palettes is the speed in which they get sold out at. They are £4 each for a 12 colour palette so basically a steal and because of this they go in real fast time, as i live near to town i tend to pop in every other day to check however if you live a distance away i would recommend checking the website frequently. I currently own 5 MUA 12 colour pallets and i do get my use out of each one. BRILLIANT!

Next thing is a lip balm. As most of my friends and family know i am a huge fan (like massive) of lip balms.I tend to never wear lip gloss and just stick to lip balm and in my bag at the moment i believe there is around about 12-15 lip balms just sailing around in there for as and when i need them. I cannot physically go 15 minutes without applying some form of balm or vaseline to my lips. In saying this it means i do try and try and try lip balms out until the death of them and i have never actually repurchased any balm simply because there are so so many out there for me to try. However, yesterday i made my first ever re-purchase of a lip balm! <3 This just shows how much i loved this. It is "sweet lemon lip butter" from body shop. It was £4 and a bargain if you ask me! There are other flavours (or scents?  You know what i mean) but i just love the smell of this one. Unlike some lip balms/butters this lasts a long enough time and i can always feel it on my lips, whereas some brands, like vaseline, tend to wear off within about 5 minutes. This is my favourite May Favourite and i would suggest everyone goes and buys one because you just will not regret it.

Hope you enjoyed this blog and some of the products i have sampled here.
See you soon

Really Rihanna ?

Hello world!

Today i have been browsing my Instagram like i usually do, every single day, and whilst doing so i noticed one of my friends had uploaded a picture of Rihanna with the caption "WHY?" and looking at the photograph i couldn't help but ponder than question either.

There is no doubting that Rihanna has some serious talent in my mind, some of her songs are brilliantly written and she has a huge following of fans that undoubtedly look up to her and aspire to be her. However saying that her Instagram isn't exactly setting a good example to anyone let alone her teenage fans. Recently her images have been at lot more PG but looking back I was suprised by some of the things cropping up when i was scrolling down. For one she uploaded this:

This picture of a cannabis leaf, clearly a very high, cannabis leaf just isn't appropriate for her to upload! Her music is truly brilliant and because of this she appeals to a lot of people including pre-teens and younger children so this, if anything, encourages them to smoke cannabis because, well, 'Rihanna does it so it must be cool'.

She also uploaded this some what vulgar picture a while back and again, this isn't really the nicest thing to put on her instagram considering her profile isn't set to private and she has 7.9 million followers. I understand that  its her instagram and she can upload whatever she likes but for some reason these few pictures just really bothered me and i think it's because of how huge of a role model she is to millions of little children. They will think this is acceptable and even copy her because they look up to her and want to be like her but is this really what we want younger generations saying ? I dont.

Despite these few unfortunate pictures, when i was browsing through all her photo's i also came across a few photographs that made me see a different side of Rihanna. A more human side if you will.

This a picture of her and her mum and i found this completely and utterly adorable and it sort of made realise that she is just like everyone else and family is still really important to her! You tend not to think about this side of celebs because all you know of them is what you see in the papers but this picture shows that she isn't what everyone says. She also uploaded several pictures and quotes about Boston and Oklahoma, again showing that although she is so busy with everything and although she is most likely in her own celebrity bubble that she does care, even if it just a picture on Instagram, her picture will be seen by nearly 8 million people world wide and that one picture from her could raise a lot of awareness.

'Merica

In just under 1 weeks time (yes one week) i will be jetting off to the US of A carrying my very own J1 visa. If you have little or not clue what J1 visa is, it is a permit allowing me to work in America for a certain length of time. I will be there for 6 weeks of sun, laughter and the occasional BBQ by the beach.

I will be heading to the airport, flying to Paris then to USA and then taking a 3 hour bus ride from Boston to New Hampshire. I haven't packed or even shopped for my travels yet but that's besides the point really cause i'm getting out of England! I know it's been sunny for the past few days but with sun comes the constant complaining and moaning about sun burnt backs and shoulders and the endless instagrams of girls legs whilst they are sunbathing. At least in America people are smart enough to cream up for the weather.

I want to see funny pictures of cats and memes on Instagram not half naked girls in 15 degree heat.

Anyway...America!!
After 4 weeks of working i'm travelling around, not sure where to yet, could be Alaska for all i care, as long as it's somewhere I've never been or even somewhere I've never thought about seeing, it excites me. I have a long list of things that need doing before i even think about going yet but it's just so amazing to think that in 6 days, 6! I will be somewhere over some sea on a plane, pissing myself with anticipation. (lovely).
I will try and blog and take pictures and what not whilst i'm there however no promises can be made, i know you motley lot understand

Love You Guys.

CC Cream

L'Oreal CC cream is a dream.

This has turned out to be my new favorite thing. I got sent a sample packet a few weeks back and i tried it out as i do most samples but i was amazed by this product so much so i had to run out and buy my own. It is so lightweight and so moisturizing, it has an SPF 12 so i can wear it all day everyday, it doesn't have a major coverage however so i wouldn't necessarily recommend this for anyone who has bad breakouts or is just prone to spots. I tend to find it works great as a foundation then i just apply concealer to my dark circles and spots but like i said, i would not recommend this for a substitution for a full coverage foundation.

They have 3 separate ones all different shades and all different jobs. The first is green which gets rid of any redness on the face so if you have combination skin then this would be ideal for you. The second is apricot which is for use on tired skin, so basically students or people who have new born babies. The third, and the one i tend to use most is the mauve colour which is for dull skin and just reduces dullness on the face.

Usually i only have to put this product on once a day and i find it stays on all day however i don't tend to have oily skin so it will just depend on your skin type i think. Personally i would 100% recommend this product. Other companies do do the CC Cream and i have heard Clinique do a great one, i just found this one was well in my price range at £9.99 and easy to get hold of.
